ACCU-B™ Bi-Layer Tablets
The patent pending ACCU-B™ Technology is ideal for single drug or combination drug products. ACCU-B tablets are produced on a bi-layer tablet press and are composed of a drug layer and a drug-free layer. The drug layer is pre-divided into smaller doses and scored completely through to the drug-free break layer. The deep scoring ensures that when ACCU-B tablets are broken, the break occurs through the drug-free layer, leaving the drug layer undisturbed and ensuring an exact partial dose.
ACCU-B Bi-Layer tablets can be scored to nearly any configuration to meet therapeutic needs. Accu-Break Pharmaceuticals has developed prototypes for several different tablet sizes and configurations including bisected, trisected, quadrisected and even pentasected and octasected tablets.
ACCU-B Bi-Layer Tablets are ideal for:
- Single agent pharmaceutical products
- Combination therapy agent tablets with both agents in the same layer
- Creation of new intermediate doses
- Titration and fine dose adjustments
